The gentle trails stretch off across the meadow, to the Natural Bridge beckons as does the confluence of the Cross and Kootenay Rivers where you may see the occasional canoe, raft or kayak floating by. Explore on your own or join us on a guided hike. For the more ambitious, we are beside to Kootenay National Park and all it's trails. Views of Mount Assiniboine the Bugaboos, and the Continental Divide are accessible by walking the Mitchell Ridge minutes from Nipika.

This valley of unprecedented beauty and varied terrain beckons to mountain bikers. Explore rolling rangelands, interspersed with spruce and pine groves, crystal clear lakes and streams, with Douglas fir and larch at higher elevations. If you cannot bring your own bike on your Nipika vacation, we have a full fleet of rental bikes. On request Nipika offers guided instructional mountain bike tours on trails throughout the region. The Nipika Mountain Bike Terrain Park is situated at the base of Mount Sledmore.

Horse owners wishing to explore the trails on horseback can ride for 100 kilometres along the beautiful Kootenay River valley - all right out your doorstep. Your horses are welcome at Nipika's stables. Please note- We DO NOT offer trail riding, we do not do daily trail rides.

With the Cross, Kootenay and Kicking Horse rivers at our doorstep, Nipika offers canoe, kayaking and whitewater rafting excursions for the tentative through to the tenacious thrill seeker. Explore the canyons, learn about the local wildlife and escape the ordinary.

Just 32 kilometres from Nipika is Radium Hot Springs. A great family oriented facility, Radium Hot Springs features a hot mineral pool as well as a cool swimming pool with pool slide and play area. Of course, you may prefer to stay closer to home and dip into our hot tub.

Fishing
Fishing
There is great fishing on the property. Wet your fly or spinning line in search of Cutthroat trout or a land locked Kokanee Salmon. We are close to some great walk in lakes as well. BC and National Park licences are available in Radium Hot Springs. Single barbless hooks are required. We support catch and release!
Golf
Golf
For the golfers we are one hour from 12 golf courses. Names like Grey Wolf or Banff Springs are among the courses close to us. For the more adventurous try Coy's golf course, whose challenging 9-hole layout has never been played at par! Don't forget to try our new 19 hole Frisbee Golf Course right out your cabin door at Nipika.

The natural setting of Nipika lends itself to unsurpassed bird and wildlife watching. Wander on your own or join in a guided hike to learn more about the wildlife and wild sights around you. Sit around the fire pit roasting marshmallows or just gaze into the flames, listening to the wolves howl.

If you still are not tired from the day's activities there is a volleyball court, 9-hole Frisbee golf course, horseshoe pits and bocce balls.
